We first met as young graduates on the BP Induction Course at Grangemouth Refinery. It was the refreshing honesty and irreverence of Charlie that resonated so well with me. We kept in touch from that time although we didn't see each other so often. When we did get together it was without any awkwardness that can sometimes be the case with people. His humour will be much missed.
